I'm getting bored with Barbel anyway . . . A few nice little Chublets, a couple of Gudgeon and a Dace or two . . . That's my approach for the rest of the season And as for Ian McBarbels Chub paste and Proffessor Deano with his Bunsen burner and krill extract , yay can forget it . . . It's 18mm halibut pellets all the way for me 2 of them beauties of the hair . . . Irresistible

I just hope someone catches a barbel! Eddie.

Have you seen the colour of the river I'm not wasting 6 quid on two pints of casters. I've sent my sister to Tesco for another 5 tins of Garlic Spam , 3 swan loafer float . . Plan B Might try some of Ian's new paste as well , I'm sure he will be bringing a few samples along

Yup , it's rather worrying actually. Me , Smiley and AndyP left the lay-bys at 5pm to go for a celebratory pint at the Alice. Me and Keith drove out and Andy stopped to talk to a Lycra clad cyclist at the end of the lay-bys. He didn't arrive at the pub and there has been no sightings of him since Full report to follow tomorrow , beer and Indian calling

Thanks for organising the day Dave, it's always good to meet up with some old and new faces for a relaxed session, and get to fish some new areas. The only down side was not winning the chub trophy, if only I'd tried harder then that piece of art could have had pride of place on my mantle piece.

come on lads put us out of our misery, no need for a big report, hopefully I'm off out to the Nidd this afternoon meself, and just a few yes no answers will do
were some barbel caught? by most of you, or just by a few of you?
who got the best one & what did it weigh?
This suspense reminds me of the old days before the internet, being abroad without a short-wave radio and having to wait 2 or 3 days for the football results.EDIT - THANKS RUSHY (SEEN YOUR REPORT IN OTHER THREAD) & WELL FISHED EVERYONE!
RIGHT - IF I CAN GET ME HEAD DOWN AND DO 4 HOURS MARKING NOW, THEN I CAN BE ON THE 2.30 TRAIN TO HAMMERTON & GET a 5-HOUR SESSION IN
(Mrs. just text me that she's caught a 2.5 pound grouper fishing with her dad in Fuerteventura this morning so i have to get out on the Nidd to compete
