oh dear it seems like theres a bit of unhappiness and trouble in the camp think I will keep out of that side of things. the one thing that does confuse me is it was only several weeks ago that it looked like I had wasted my money as I couldn't pleasure on a weekend. then low and behold we are advised that there is one lake free for pleasure anglers so ive had a few nice weekend sessions up there and even got a couple of nice carp out of the front lake on Saturday. now according to andygaz the club says there will be no lakes free for pleasure anglers on a wekkend. I wish someone would make there minds up with carpvale and sort this mess out once and forall

We inherited 2 years of match bookings and now can look at what is booked on the venue in the future. As you can imagine there are different opinions about how the place should be run going forward. But yes a pond should be free from matches most of the time! Odd exceptions when the whole complex is booked for a big match very occasionally may happen, so check beforehand, but we wouldn't want to stop events like the masons annual charity match, for instance, when they use all the pegs. Midweek it is mostly open for pleasure angling.

Cheers in advance Moor Monkton pools facebook page, just had a look and one pool was available for pleasure angling last Saturday and none available on Sunday? So maybe I should rephrase the above info! But check beforehand to avoid disappointment. I've got a permit this year too, so I'm in the same situation as every one else! Roll on the 16th and I can get back to my barbel fishing, it's a lot less complicated lol. Eddie.

I'm on the GP committee mate and I aren't part of anybody's crew. In fact I make my own mind up about any subject that comes up. Stan or anyone else at Leeds are answerable for their actions just like the rest of us believe it or not. What you need to bare in mind is any comments posted on this forum are open for the world to read. I'm not saying don't criticise if you feel justified, but making sure you are accurate and not just going on hearsay is a must really. But trust me the GP committee will make their own minds up on topics. I will say this however, there has been a lot of work go in to Moor Monkton, voluntary work mind! People manning the office up there, doing the necessary work to bring the place up to standard etc. They deserve a pat on the back and a big thanks, not what they have received on our own forum by mainly nameless posters. Eddie.I can see smoke but no flames
