Hi Ben , Sean and Fearnley are up there now and the match lakes are frozen solid , so it looks as though this weekends matches will be called off . Keep your eye on this thread as i,m sure Sean will post a decision when he gets home .
Regards
Paul .

Hi guys just to let u all know that this weekends league match is cancelled , theres nearly an inch of ice on lakes and with another cold forecast for tonight its a total right off. Hope we have better weather for next weeks calendar, there will be a decision made soon on what we are going to do about the lost match , wether we are going to drop it for everybody or extend the league by a week, need to talk to a few people first so i dont get my fingers burnt.Could extend it by one week but if we get anymore its going to be difficult for those who have joined the league who (may) have other plans come springtime, in wich case i will be running a league at KP if we have enough intrest as we have done this winter.

Another league makes another closed shop, if the matches are run as opens all the regulars will obviously still take the majority of the pegs but others (like myself who can't fish every weekend) may get the chance of a peg when the regulars take a weekend off.
I know this winter league has left pegs unsold but because of the league no one has been allowed to take advantage of fishing them.
Run the matches as opens Sean and give everyone the chance of a peg.
What do others think ?

My Sunday league matches are run as opens Phil but only because small no. of lads joined in league(9), think Sean has 24 in his so limited because no. of pegs really Prob be different when other/new lake is up & running ;D

Yeah that's what I am thinking Ian, looks like I will have to make alternative plans for this summer - Thank chuff for Woodlands or there wouldn't be anywhere to go - You can't get a decent Carp match anywhere round here and if there were two they would both be on the same day - Wednesday always Wednesday, when are match organisers going to cotton onto the fact that a lot of us lads work continental type shift systems and we are looking for a match M,T,W,T,F,S and Sunday Anyway moan over - Roll on some decent weather .........

hey ive just survived melbournes hottest ever day 48 degrees!!!!!!! i wouldnt mind a bit of snow and ice lol
i had a similar problem when running a league at non-go-bye a few years ago, what i did was to keep the league running for the lads that was in it but the remaining pegs was open to anyone
