Here we come, the warriors 3 The Dazzler, Bubba and little old me, At morning's dawn, through the mist we stroll, 2 on the waggler and 1 on the pole. As loud as we shout, they say we're absurd But I reckon come sunday it's 1st, 2nd and 3rd. We'll empty the pond There's no time for tea So bring on the challenge We're warriors 3 ;D woooo check out that shiny metal gaunlet reflecting in the early winters morning sunlight. p.s don't tell anyone but I'm better at poetry than I am fishing.....I think I'm in trouble....me and my big mouth! If you feel like pushing me in at end of day I'm easy to identify....I'm the biggest one of the 3 warriors

It has to be said.....THANKS Ian old bean, despite the weather trying it's hardest to make the day immpossible I managed 3 out so a happy chappy. Also I have to compliment you and the guys either side of me for putting up with my inadequacies as a matchman and being so friendly to a stranger Hats off to you guys there, you do an outstanding job in fishery management, organising the matches and making us outsiders feel more than welcome. If anyone was ever thiking of taking part in these matches I highly recommend it, what a great bunch of guys (not to mention great anglers) despite the grim conditions weather wise I had a ball if truth be told, so yeh even if you don't think you're a good angler it's definately worth a trip out there if only to meet some great peeps. Thanks to all involved.

Ey up Daz - nice to see you did just as you said you would when we were at Thwaites Mill talking waggler tactics on that cold frosty morning of the 17th - you outclassed the pole boys with the good old waggler !! Some good piccys ta boot - but wheres the piccys of the Winners Cup and the presentation of the pool wonga ? I thought you would need more than 1lb 8 and a half ounce to win a match against all those seasoned guys but hats off to ya mate if that's all it took to take the kitty !! Last time I saw that many gudgeon was when I was up a tree 35 years ago in the gudgeon hole at Roundhay Park with my mate wafting his bob float over the top of 'em ! In fact I think I've still got an old bob float you can have if that's going to be your tactics from now on. Look forward to our next outing and you can buy me a coffee and bacon sarny out of the winnings - bet they wished they'd not invited you now ............. he he !!!!! Off to the wharfe at Linton tomorrow with my Thwaites left over maggots (castors / bluebottles) and a bit of meat - will let you know how I get on .....................
