I have walked almost the whole length of Leed's River Waters during the past month and will complete it this autumn. The year book refers to Widdington Manor and how to get to it. 1) There are no directions from Nun Monkton Lane to Widdington Manor as mentioned in the Book, only Widdington Grange. You can follow directions from Nun Monkton lane to the Marina, which is at the lock. 2) I understand (but you would have to confirm it with the Association) that the Widdington Manor stretch was lost during the foot and mouth epidemic about 5 yr ago - even though it still appears in the book. 3) When driving between Widdington Hall Farm and Widdington Manor Farm I passed a parking area for Bradford Number 1. It would seem that they now have this stretch. 4) It is a long drive on rough tracks but you can drive right through to Thorpe Underwood. I agree with your comments re directions and would add my own about lack of limit signs and poor notices generally which I will send to the Association when I have visited all lower river waters. I am preparing my own set of detailed maps for each venue and should have them done by the end of the year. I hope this helps. Cheers.
