Paul Wood's "premeirsh*ts" strip in the last eye was eerrily accurate in predicting the 2018 world cup vote. It featured Fifa overlord Sepp Blatter ripping up a copy of the Sunday Times while professing his liking for the Russian bid - a country that knows how to deal with meddlesome journlists. Does Wood have a mole at Fifa HQ... or was Russia 's imminent victory simply obvious to all but David Cameron, Price William, David Beckham, Toby Young and the rest (see below)?
How apt is that! LOL...

That's a question I would like an answer to myself.. Heard rumours of!! So I've fished 22m pellets on one rod in likely area's for year's on and off but only ever caught a few of the bigger carp on them. You could try asking Frim, he seem's to know whats what on what fish are stocked where.

I've been waiting for this, Cats have never been stocked into Knotford by Leeds. BUT..... 1995 myself and Steve Raper fishing feeders just to the left of the point caught over a dozen in one afternoon on chopped worm, the fish were around 8 to 12 oz each, we just took it for granted that they had been dumped from a garden pond or garden centre, we caught a few more in the weeks after and so did a few others of us fishing at that time, I have never caught or heard of another since that year, for this number of kittens to have been caught who ever stocked the fish must have put in a substantial amount, at the time we took it for granted they were wells but may have been wrong "Is it poss 1 or 2 survived" The rivers authority as it was then were just having a purge against stocking cats and they were a very sore point, the catches were never reported to them. Steve

H Ha I've heared the rumours for years and I remember as a lad an old chap told me there were 6 stocked in the lake and they hung around rat island that was probably 20 years. On 1 or 2 occassions I have had runs while carp fishing that have been un stoppable only to suffer a hook pull and on a couple of occasions a straightened hook. the way it went didn't feel like any carp I have hooked before and I don't think I'm the only person that this has happened to. I have never seen a cat there though or heard of anyone catch them so how knows. I bet they hang out with the mythic 38lber and the 40lb common I've been told about.

JB, I've had a couple of runs like that. Got smashed or cut off on 16lb main line! I've also heard about the 38lb carp. I've had a very large mirror back in 2005 which I couldn't weigh as I only had small scales with me and I've yet to see anyone with a photo of the same fish!! Looked like the famous Black mirror..
