Quantum mechanics is not the string theory but I'm sure you knew that. Some of the things I've read and watched about quantum psysics said that (in theory) everything in the universe is connected! Which is where I believe the whole idea of the string theory comes from "I think!" And could be the basis of the phanomena known as "The Force" in the Star Wars movies. I wouldn't think about it too much though, as it's a very complex and mind blowing subject. And one that probably only a true Jedi can master!! ;D ;D ;D

This could be interesting. I don't own a computer and have to black mail internet gaming addicts to use theirs just so I can post on here! If i get chance to look it up I will though.. I bet (not that I'm a gambling man) that you have heard of "The Secret" theory!! And have heard of Amit Goswami, Jeffrey Satinover and Fred Alan wolf. ;D

Geoff's just messin with you, but you should of known that Dog is great in "theory". Yet he will fetch a stick And it may all sit on the back of a terrapin ;D

Geoff seems like a very intelligent guy to me. It wouldn't surprise me if he's spent a few hours looking up professors Satinover, Wolf and Goswami. I think the theories that link psychiatry consciousness and physics are VERY eye opening, (probably not to the narrow minded though) which are the main topics of "The Secret and What The Bleep Do We Know." Did you know that the universe is mostly empty? Are all realities existing simultaneously? Is there a possibility that all potentials exist side by side? Have you ever seen yourself through the eye's of someone else as you have become. And looked at yourself through the eye's of the ultimate observer? The real question is, how far down the rabbit hole do you want to go? Sink your teeth into that, Yoda! LOL... ;D

Even then they only stand up because of chemistry and physics. Yet physics itself proves god exists in theorie. String or wooly jumpers? It could be made of cheese in theorie untill it's proven not too. I like proof ;D (good game though) Ps, I like the black hole being links to neverending universes theorie at the moment, but it is just that, a theorie (dimentions are last year)

I think it best if we know the difference between a theory and a hypothesis! 'Any physical theory is always provisional, in the sense that it is only a hypothesis; you can never prove it. No matter how many times the results of experiments agree with some theory, you can never be sure that the next time the result will not contradict the theory. On the other hand, you can disprove a theory by finding even a single observation that disagrees with the predictions of the theory." The "unprovable but falsifiable" nature of theories is a necessary consequence of using inductive logic'

I don't know the names you mentioned but my research shows satinover majors in homosexuality and goswani works with the dyslexic - not sure how much real physics these pseudo sciences contain.

Think lucky It's not quite about thinking being lucky. It's more like the power of thought or to be more precise it's more about turning thoughts in to reality! For example.. If one sits there thinking about all the negatives about why one wont catch a fish... Then one wont but if one sits there thinking about all the positives of why one should catch a fish. Then one will!! ;D (Thats "The Secret" theory)
