Having looked at the website the stillwaters look and sound good but it doesnt say what species are in each lake. Does anybody know which of the lakes contain Pike?
I know wintersett has them in but last time I went for a walk around there it was littered with burnt-out cars. That doesnt give me the greatest of confidence when fishing a distance away from the car!!!
Has anybody had any success at Knotford Lagoon either?
Cheers,
Chris

i can at least comment on knotford which i attempt to fish quite often ( attempt coz of dire weed problem) every visit over the past couple of seasons whilst fishing for tench etc, we allways see plenty of pencil thin jacks in margins ( they've come from somewhere) but have never seen anyone having a go properly. If there had been any decent fish caught i'm sure we would have seen someone trying . P.S just a matter of interest - below weir on aire downstream of ferrybridge watched a guy get two near twentys weighed and witnessed.

Chris Dont let the burnt out cars put you off,it just a place for scrotes to dump them after they have been stolen from elsewhere. If you want to fish the Cold Hiendley res you can have your car right along side you. If your going to fish Wintersett that should be okay I,ve never had a problem and Im down there all the time, most of the weed has cleared now so fishing should pick up. I very rarely blank when piking there, biggest I've had this year is 13 to 15 lb,but I only ever spin or jerk bait. Best place for dead baits is on the dam wall (as I expect you know). Funny thing this year I haven't caught any Perch in Wintersett but have got a few in Botany. Anyway give it a go its not as bad as it looks.
