Does anyone use the cheap day shelters when fishing? I don’t have a great deal of success with fishing umbrellas and I thought a shelter may work better for me on pleasure trips to venues like Sandwath Lake.

I have gone over to the Korum shelter instead of using a brolly, and they are brilliant, (especially when the wind gets lazy and tries to go through rather than around me). True they are not as cheap as some, but they put up in no time, are both windproof and waterproof, (and I really do mean waterproof), plus it fits the centre pocket of my Rod Quiver no problem. BOF

That looks exactly what I want but the price puts it out of range at the moment . I think I will get get one more to suit my pocket and save up for the Korum. Thanks for the reply,

I’m looking at the Maver Storm Rider Light at Dragon Carp and if I get on with the idea I will save for the Korum.

Just thought I would comment on the budget shelter I got from Dragon Carp. I really like the look of the Korum Shelter and if I had have had the money I would have gone for that one but due to old age and poverty I bought the Carp Kinetics from Dragon Carp. I used the Kinetics today (low wind and no rain) and I must say that it does what I wanted it to do. Its easy to put up, grabs the ground and keeps the wind out plus it has enough under canvas room to be useful without been to big.
