Asenby today but it wasn't plan A long story short I slept in so travelled light ended up near island, cage feeder with liquidised bread and lobworm on the hook. after say 5th cast rod bent double nearly knocking me out it was hard going reeling it in against the current but I managed it, my first river fish this year a chub 3lbs. I do have a pitcher but it wont except said my pitch is big to many MB`s sorry guys I did try.
I`ll try and do something with it tomorrow watch this space.

Nice fish John, I fancied fishing the Island swim myself yesterday as I was told the Topcliffe stretch would be busy but there was only two of us in the morning.

I did mate, I dont carry scales but a grayling at around 1.5lb which is my PB
