Well lads as Johnboy has reported we had a good few hours sussing out Brafferton yesterday. All methods caught - waggler - feeder - pellet waggler - pole. In the middle, down the edge, across to the island. The fish were everywhere and taking all baits, meat , corn , pellet, maggot (attracted small fish) Johnboy did particularly well on the feeder whilst I preferred, as always , the old waggler A couple of good nets for a few hours fishing Johnboys - Mine He did pip me by two pounds at the weigh in but forgot to mention one small detail ............. he got there at 7am , I got there at 10am Got some more bad news for you Johnboy me old muckka . As you know I went to Queen Marys for a couple of hours afterwards in search of a Tinca or two. Lost a fish after 15 minutes but didn't lose the next one ............ well I nearly did but I managed to get it out of the bush eventually New personal best Tench for me and , and , and I'm sorry to report buddy , your record is history ................. 5 pound 8 ounces That was with a few ounces for the net mate so I don't think I can really pinch your record. Good day out and looking forward to Saturday. I'm setting myself a target of 40 pound Would be grateful if we could all get there at 8.30am latest as the admin is a bit time consuming and I cant sort the teams out until everyone is there ....... cheers guys

Hi Richard Thanks for letting me know mate. After all that kafuffle with him and his 16 metre pole as well I'm phoning Dave the owner on Friday to try and twist his arm into letting us have all the lake but failing that I'm going to ask him to make sure no one turns up and plonks themselves in the middle of us all ........ that's the plan anyway !!! See you Saturday bud ........ don't forget , no deadbait kebabs

What do you mean all methods and all baits catch Dave? What's left for an excuse, no chance of a late frost and some ice cover is there?
