I know it's a bit late in the year but realised that I have not had a Tench this year. I know that Knotford is generally targeted by specimen Carp anglers but I was wondering what the Tench population is like there, if it's worth targeting them and if so, any recommendations as to the best tactics etc?

Earlier on in the year there were some cracking Tench coming out of Knotford - 8 pound plus !!! They were being caught by the Carp anglers by accident so I would suggest a Carp type approach or a PVA bag with a suitable Tenchy type nibble on the hook
