I was wondering if anyone could give me the exact location of the Leeds water, I've looked at the map, and can't make hide nor hair of it. Cheers

hiya mate not actually been myself but it had been mentioned on hear some where a few weeks ago, from Ripon road to Thirsk cross over the river bridge until you reach the roundabout turn left as if going to Northallerton then there is suppose to be a road on your left that leads through the old airdrome to the river. you can also go from the A168 to Topcliff carry on as if going to Northallerton going straight across the roundabout.
need to give this place ago myself sometime permitted, hope this helps

When you get there the map falls into place. The big green tank is especially noticeable which you pass on your left.

Yes its pretty easy, I went for the first time the other day although I didn't fish, I forgot my landing net. If you head north from the old Busby Stoop pub (now an Indian restaurant, Jaipur Spice or something) on the A167 and take the first turn off to your left after half a mile, the map will sort you out after that. Charlyfarly has a useful youtube video too.

Carpman have been to skipton 3 times this year, go through skipton to roundabout take 1st exit towards sandhutton about 500 yds up road there is a s-bend in road 1st to left 2nd to right, on 2nd there is a trackway on left side of road take this turn go through car sheep dip then follow track around chicken farm like geoff says the huge green slurry tank and big stack of hay will mean you are going the right way. As you pass the haystack the road is tarmacked and straight at the end bear right you will then be in the carpark, entry to fishery is in the right hand corner there is a building in the left hand corner with wire fence around it. Go over style (bit wobbly) across field to right through gate river on left. Hope this helps
