Hi paul great seeing someone making valuable contributions to moving the society forwards. Just to update - there is no longer a 50p - was later £1- to park at Nidd Mouth. Keep up the good work. I found 50p one morning on the bonnet of my Mrs' van in our road. I said "what's that doing there?" She said "oh that's from the fishing yesterday. I know you said you didn't think we had to pay but I left it there anyway in case the farmer came past". we'd driven nearly 30 miles back and it was still there - thanks for confirming the charge no longer applies.

Just had a good look at the maps on the tablet, that's going to be very useful and helpful, especially to new members. Great job.
Eddie.

I've started adding postcodes to the 'P' parking markers, not all are doable unfortunately as some rural spots with no houses don't actually have postcodes :-? but I'll do my best all the same. and where possible I'll put the nearest post code and add directions to the map or on a linked page.

I've been playing with a supporting Blog to supplement the map, take a look at 'Nun Monkton - River Ouse' and tell me what you's think. is this additional layer worth pursuing further?
It has the advantage of being able to include a lot more structured information as well as photographs. other links and videos (such as some of Toms excellent videos (with his permission of course)).

I think the extra layer is a great idea Paul. Love the street map pics and stuff. Didn't realise there were Sharks in there though . . . I will have to take Jimmy up when he gets back

Hope I am not being too anal about this but the old 50p then £1 parking is not actually shown on the map paul. It is at the end of the red line that you have drawn that goes off the track towards the nidd mouth itself. it is ok to take a car to this area - unless you are with rushy - or was it shane ? There is a fenced off bit with a gate - room for about 4 cars - so the cattle don't like the paint off your car.

Not at all, I didn't even notice that spot when I was putting the details onto google maps I assumed the paid parking was the farm itself. I'm not familiar with that stretch, I've added 'Nidd Mouth Parking 4' is this in the right place? and how do you access it? is the track across the field or via the caravan park or? thanks I appreciate all the help I can get putting this together.

Hi Paul, I would just like to say what a cracking job you have done with this, it will be a great help to all who are unfamiliar with parking and access.
However there does seem to be a couple of errors.
1. Beal on the Aire is missing.(Not on Leeds DASA website either)
2. I thought the right bank on the Aire at Chapel Haddlesey was down to the A19 road bridge.
3. Parking at Myton on the Swale is missing.
4. Parking at Helperby also missing.
