Been wanting to fish both these stretches but I have no clue where to park, I heard Helperby there used to be paid parking at some pub or other but that was no longer the case.
So any advice or help would be greatly appreciated I don't just want to turn up and upset the locals by parking like a proverbial one unwittingly.
Thanks..
Also could add any details to the maps as appropriate.

At Helperby I park on the main street close to the lane that leads to the river then walk down that lane to the footbridge. As long as you don't block access for anyone your ok.

Helperby is a very little pleasant village and I think most of them know about Anglers that fish it and struggle to park, most of then will even stop and talk to you in kindness or about your days fishing.

IM lead to believe that Helperby u now have to park in the pub? I used to fish all three lengths many moons back and y Leeds gave the two lengths up is a mystery equalled to The Lord Lucan saga!!! It's a superb stretch. Can anyone advise on the Myton stretch. I looked at it Autumn last year,u park just b4 the bridge on left but tight to the fence as tractors zoom up and down!!!!! As far as the fishing is concerned I'm in the dark so any help on this will be appreciated, it only looks a short stretch. We gave up two lengths of quality match and pleasure angling stretch but keep a length open which is approx 100 yards long and having a cuppa and a pie with the locals they reckoned maybe 6 people been all year......answers on a postcard. If Leeds got all three Helperby lengths back that alone would be worth the yearbook fee... I only fish midweek and if memory serves me right at the weekends it was always jammed.....

For helperby, the parking is on the main road through the village. No longer at the pub and not actually on the private road which leads to the footpath down to the bridge, plenty of space. If the signs are correct at myton it's exactly the same with the council not permitting cars on the bridleway that crosses the bridge, though I did talk to a local angler who had taken his transit van over the bridge to sweep out after his maggots had escaped! So that makes you wonder a bit, but the sign outside the bungalow looked like a genuine council effort.
