just go for it mate! Similar fishing will be had at both venues - a deadbait rod out for pike is brill at this time of year.

Another fine fish that Johnboy - the Ouse system perch are feeding up for sure - what did it weigh ? (in kilos of course ;-) ) I was right on the mouth so I would say I was fishing more of the Nidd than the flow of the Ouse unless someone can correct me, I was fishing towards the first red boy if anyone know the area.
my new scales are crap so at to send away for some digital scale for which I had diverted from before as I found I was running out of battery power at a crucial moment when trying to weigh in good fish / good net of fish, hope these new ones work better.
I would say it was a good 2lbs
so I would say that if it was the Nidd and not the Ouse that's a great Peach for the Nidd, so that's 2 days out this year so far, 2 good Perch in 2 sessions, let the fun and pressure begin.

NOW THEN !!! Mr Rushy little wee man, when does the Nidd end, the river you first started fishing on was the Ouse right we have that sorted thanks the Ouse sweeps round the bend to your right yes you got that right not left are you listening to me make sure you have your good hear to the screen, Now !!! I was fishing inside that bend not casting over the first red boy so does that mean I was fishing the Nidd, its very important to me and other`s where I caught my Perch becoz I don't tell porkies like some people I know and I like the friends I have and know on this forum not to tell those porkies are you listening mate. Now then !!! I was just asking a question not wanting a maths lesson so for a straight answer and your knowledge of the Yorkshire rivers you have fished for decades can I have 1 of 2 answers A the Nidd B the Ouse thank you for been so considerate in telling me how it and making me and many of us laugh on this forum in your antics, you are a one off and great person to fish with !!! LOL Johnboy P.S. also the reason I put the Perch back in the water before you arrived was so you didn't nick it for a photo for your shelf !!! lol hope the air is clear now (MATE)

You are about 20 yrs too late to get quality pike from that area I showed you Rushy! I've had over 100 lb of pike there years ago on a sesh but you could also catch pushin' 50 lb of bream there in those days. I am convinced if you can find the bream you will find the big pike - happy hunting!

I think you are right Geoff - between the 5 of us (4 good Pike anglers and me ) we just about fished every peg from the Nidd Mouth right up to the middle of the length including those pegs me and you fished ............. zilch !! It needs stocking
