Had a couple of hours at Carpvale this afternoon after a hard morning tidying up after a weekend onslaught by the Grandkids Thought it might be opportune to post a few piccys on the Forum for those that haven't fished it Front lake And guess who I caught practising ........................ AGAIN !!! ..................... Paul the Vice President Anyway. I didn't want him seeing my tactics so I went to fish Cyprio The locals were very friendly and even posed for a piccy Thought I'd best have a cast in so threw a few freebies in a couple of swims and had a short session in each (old Batbel habits die hard ) The float wobbled and we were in business It just goes to show you have to adapt your tackle and tactics to the venue you are fishing to get results ............................................................................ Well , unless you cant be bothered , in which case you can grab your rod from the garage which is still set up with last weeks Chub float fishing gear and use that

I told you v.p. Paul and secretary Graham only bought the place to practice on in secret! Well done busting them Dave, despite the obvious attempt at disguise(dodgy red hat and dark glasses. Got him bang to rights and Graham fessing up that he was intending to practise too! How did you like the place Dave, a couple of those pegs with the over hanging trees looked ideal for the stick float? I bet you had the locals giving you funny looks lol.

It's a really nice place Eddie, especially the Cyprio pool. Must admit the other two, ponds don't do anything for me .. . . Too much like holes in the ground but each to their own. It will,be fantastic in Spring and summer when the trees are in bloom offering a bit more cover for the fish. Some nice 4 foot swims right under your rod end and plenty of features to go at. I might even dismantle my crystal Avon float set up and put a waggler on

Dave, johnboy, with the mature trees that seem to surround the place once spring arrives looks like it will be fairly picturesque. I intend to wet a line there and have a go, at least just to say I've been, but it's carp rods and knotford for half a dozen sessions to see what I can do there for me. Graham are you trying to make us believe commercial tactics on one water aren't very similar to on another! Give over, just remember that yellow card lol. Anyway not too long before our little match?? Hope you enjoy wetting a line again.
Eddie.

One or two people have asked me how they buy the £10 permit and having checked myself I can confirm they are now available on line.
Follow the option to buy a yearbook on the Website homepage which looks like this
2015 Yearbooks are now available (click here to purchase)
Scroll down the options and the Moor Monkton Ticket is at the bottom
£10 plus £1 postage
All the best
