I would say feeder If you are using anything that might have any amount of water In It like prawns,I tried mussels In pva and found it difficult to make them pva friendly so It would be the feeder for me. I have used chopped mussel In an open ended feeder with the ends lightly plugged with some dryish groundbait mix not to wet, worked ok for me just dont pack the feeder to tightly I found a normal plastic open ended feeder worked better than a cage variety but other people may prefer a cage feeder Its trial and error really. If your using chopped worm In pva I think you will struggle to make the choppie pva friendly would like some feedback from anyone who has done so with any success

Not knowing which local water, depth size etc. If I were targeting large Perch, I'd be thinking small natural Lives/Deads and good old Lobbies. First plan of attack would be the Float. Firstly 'cos it minimises resistance and two 'cos it's easier to "twitch" the bait, especially when fishing worm. Fishing at a distance, or depth, it would be leger or paternoster, same Baits. The only thing I'd recommend here is use heaviest weight you can get away with and open bail with drop-off indicator. Again Perch hate resistance so using light leads and the tip, the lead moves first, giving resistance (Perch hate resistance), heavy lead, indicator moves first, no resistance. Right, for feed. I'd be banging in the maggots and crumb. Get the silvers feeding and so attracting Mr. big Perca, who will hopefully go for the easy route of your Live/Dead Lobworm Bait. Personally I've found choppy etc attracts too many smaller Perch..... Sounds easy don't it....... ... Good luck
