I've just worked out how much extra evening fishing time I will get this summer if I get the Saltaire AA book, for the stretch from Salt's Mill to Baildon Bridge, just cos I can be on the river there 20-odd minutes after finishing work. The same could be said of the free Aire in Leeds city centre or Kirkstall, but I'm guessing Saltaire produces better fish more consistently in summer and is known for the barbel.
Saltaire AA don't do day tickets any more, but after 4 sessions it'll pay for itself. Claire's book would pay for itself after just 2 sessions (one of those clubs where so-called "ladies" get half-price)
This bottom length is supposed to be their best stretch I think, but hard to find any info - obviously they're not a big enough club to have a forum. Anyone fish it? Anyone heard how it's done this season so far? Any advice would be appreciated - best side of the river? better further downstream you go? Any advice much appreciated (by P-M if you prefer)

River Aire. Hmmmmmmmmmm.. Not very pretty and smells like a blocked drain. There's a guy who post on YOUTUBE, Yorkshire fly fisher, here's a link to one of his videos youtu.be/QpHzEIJAgq8Good luck and don't forget to take a peg for your nose.
