Having phoned round a few places to no avail to try and buy anew handle for my Korum reel I broke on the Trent , I ended up at Kirkgate anglers. Dean and Graham were extremely helpful and phoned Preston straight away. They ordered the part and at £16 it wasn't too expensive. Got a call yesterday to say it had arrived so nipped down this morning to collect it. ". Here ya go bud , no charge " says Graham " PRestons didn't charge us so there's no point us charging you " Great to see some good old customer service . . . Think I will be calling in for my tackle stocking sessions when I'm in Leeds

Hi, good old fashioned shop, excellent service. Like if you break a quiver tip, they have a jar full. Went there about 2yr back for a rod, first time for many many years.
Cheers Bob

great shop, just as tackle shops should be, the best of the tackle2u stores , may not carry the stock others do,but make up in customer service and helpfulness.

Used them a few times, always helpful & friendly.
Tackle2u generally have prices the same as, or better than, all the online firms, and I can just collect from Kirkgate, which is preferable to having stuff delivered for me for all kinds of reasons, avoiding all kinds of snags including:
*getting sent the wrong model * damaged goods in transit * parcel left in the care of the neighbour's pitbull
etc etc
If it can go wrong it's happened to me.

can someone give me directions from leeds train station am of to leeds nx week and goin to call in.dont know leeds so need pretty basic directions. at the station entrance where there's a marks & spencer, turn right, past the taxi rank and follow the road (Station Rd) round as it curves left past the Leeds Brewery tap pub. turn right onto Boar lane, which becomes Duncan Street at the big crossroads, follow that to the Corn Exchange (lovely big round building), go down the street that goes between the Corn exchange and the bus stops (decent chippy), which turns right into Kirkgate at the first turning. the tackle shop is another 80 yards down on your right, opposite the Duck and Drake pub. Could always ask for directions to that pub if you get lost (any excuse for me) Total from station is about 700 yards? All pretty much due East with a bit of ENE if you can navigate by the sun ... but I'd be inclined to use google maps.
