Heres part of a song i think from the late 70s,im sure it was about fishing,by the maestro IVOR BIGGUN Im a blanker,im a blanker and it does me good like it bloody well should.Im a blanker and im always missing my chub ive blanked on the nidd, ive blanked in wales, ive blanked on the wharfe and ouse ive even had a blank on the SWALE or something like that anyway

I called mine a lot of things back in the day but never trusty ! Lost more fish than I care to remember even after removing the anti backwind thingymibob ,nice for bits and medium chublet though. Nice barbel.

Funnily enough Mick I did have to dismantle the front of the reel half way through playing the fish which was good fun I've got about 5 or 6 of the 506 and 501'S .............. love em , despite their tendency to send the line up the back of the spool and around the spindle
