Hi, anyone got a few tips on whip fishing? Is it best to elasticate the the last section? I'm thinking more for river work.

Two bits of pole float rubber, attach with a pull through loop around the bottom rubber, twist and have the top rubber over the tip, simple

I'd always go with elastic, more chance of landing bonus fish! Great fishing when you get em going on the whip line.

Agree with the others who advocate elastic. Be sure to get the correct strength and tension it properly. No point in fishing a whip and being unable to swing to hand if the elastic is wrong!
