I know that canals can flood slightly and colour up and start to pull , but looking at the aire and calderI was amazed. I must be 6ft up below Swillington bridge, at Skelton power staion andtwaites mills the canal was like ariver in flood. At Woodlesford lock the river had breached and was flowing into the canal <embed width="600" height="361" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowFullscreen="true" allowNetworking="all" wmode="transparent" src="http://static.photobucket.com/player.swf" flashvars="file=http%3A%2F%2Fvid653.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fuu252%2Frickygau%2FWP_20151227_14_14_47_Pro.mp4&title="> <embed width="600" height="361" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowFullscreen="true" allowNetworking="all" wmode="transparent" src="http://static.photobucket.com/player.swf" flashvars="file=http%3A%2F%2Fvid653.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fuu252%2Frickygau%2FWP_20151227_13_52_37_Pro.mp4&title="> <embed width="600" height="361" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowFullscreen="true" allowNetworking="all" wmode="transparent" src="http://static.photobucket.com/player.swf" flashvars="file=http%3A%2F%2Fvid653.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fuu252%2Frickygau%2FWP_20151227_15_13_11_Pro.mp4&title=">

Been down to woody lock with the dogs this morning and apart from the river being a bit high all is well. The change in 48 hours is unbelievable , even saw three pike anglers (blanking)by the way. But a great morning to be out.
Mick.
