The roadbridge at Tadcaster has collapsed with a major threat of a gas leak, please stay well away.

Yh not good news is it Graham that splits the village in half, long way round either side.
a lot of the old river bridges have had a battering, i was surprised even Rushy standing on skipbridge the other day, now that place has seen some battering.
i think all old river bridges should be check by the EA after all this.

The one over the Wharfe in between Collingham and Linton has been closed. It looks like a "wave" when you look at it end on. Wouldn't be surprised if that one goes before long , especially if the next storm hits it hard Sad times

Rest assured- they are checked ; but not by EA as bridges aren't their responsibility. It is the County Council, or , on big roads like th4 A1 the Highways Agency. In fact all bridges are regularly checked , flooding or not , for obvious reasons
