Hi, yeh theres thousands of dead bait bags, if you can find them in all the other rubbish. I carp fish as well, there just same as Pikers, no diff. Bet i could find bollie bags etc, just a mission you are on. You don't like Piking Ged, your mate nearly spewed up & called them 'Mucky Things' You don't want Pikers on your little place. Or prob other type of Anglers. Wouldn't matter, but nobody really Carps in the Winter.
Wouldn't mind a bit of Carping, say on Half Moon, in the Summer, but no way i want to be barrowing all around it + parking at end. Or getting in with Car but not getting out. I can see it happening. ITS A FISHERY FOR ALL TYPES OF ANGLING. Next issue will be a day Carper, plonking in a Night Anglers baited up peg. By the way you & your mate have been fine with me, prob even a Luv In, if i'd been Carping. I can see the good things you do. I'd be OK Baliffing, i like that Key Access, because my Legs are Knacked, i'm not only one, Piker or Carper.
Bring back the good old days, when everyone got on.
Cheers Bob
Edit O & regards Cold Hiendley( main water in question), even better, hardly any Carpers fish here, any season of the year !!! Because even if compared to Wintersett, its barren in Carp. No Pikers, near enough no Fishing done at all.

Don't have any issues with pikers and have done plenty of pike fishing myself over the years so I don't know where you get that from. As for issues regarding pike v carp anglers, I don't know where that comes from either. People not getting on? Don't know owt about that either. l'll try and get over to kippax and pick the new padlocks up this weekend then arrange to get them fitted as soon as possible. If it was a simple two minutes job, it would have been done by now, but it isn't. Also have to liase with the landowners to remove their padlocks. I'll be down with some binbags to pick everbodies crap up, regardless of who dropped it, as I do several times every year on all three lakes. Of course if anybody else fancies pitching in and helping then feel free.

Hi, can't get on water most of time, well easily, to do ought. Points about all Leeds members getting easy access to water (or at least not being put off), whatever angling preferences, can't you get that ? Not just top lake carpers (like you i like Carping as well). If all Leeds members get above, i'll have at least acheived more than your rant.Mate might renew his book, plus others. Or lets ban all Leeds Piking members, because odd bait packet is found, you can find one if your looking for one, mind as said, could easily be a bollie etc packet.
Cheers Bob
ps OK when you have Plenty of Piking water near you (some have), then its i'm OK Jack maybe, but what if you couldn't get on it or at least easily if your getting on a bit ? Not much Piking water this far south on Leeds book. So a few have been a bit upset (not just me).
ps I've Fished these waters since prob 1961, when old Earnie was Baliff, summat like 1s 6p in old money. Walked to them, biked to them, bused to them. Started Trout fishing, so ain't fished it for a few years, not since Leeds have had it anyway (till about 3yrs back). Its my Local water, fished it thousands of times. I've took a saw up many a time, making access around CH (been nightmare at times in past). Made/ cleared loads of swims.
CH dam bank wasn't that good, so bought a weed cutter last year, made a fair few swims, well better to fish. Mind thats for Piking. OK mainly its Carp Fishing now, but to me its not its hayday, used to be full of fish of all sizes.

Hi mate i don't know where all this is coming from but there is defo no issues regarding pike anglers. Ged does as much as he can on a huge complex and if you know it from years ago you have to see the improvements. Who do you think got it gated to stop all the nonsense every other day. When did you last see a car burning on the complex, I bet it was a few weeks before the gates were on. Let's see how much litter there would be without ged and daz

Hi, like iv'e said every year there's very little access through CH gate. Last time i looked 14/2/16 gate still had combi lock. At that point i said ball s to it all. Heard just lately BW lock back on ? but Pike dead baiting ended.
I don't like see litter (i even take used Tea Bags Home), its not good seeing empty Dead Bait Packet (unfortunately you see a few everywhere). Its hard to find dead bait packets at CH dam wall, there needles in a Haystack. Its where you get prob 99% of footfall on Wintersett Complex (not like Half Moon etc).
Problem just like there will be non members fishing other Leeds waters etc etc.
One thing you don't dead bait at CH, or seldom do, or your fit etc & walk down, leave your car in layby etc. So i suppose your opinion is just a opinion based on other things. Mines from my experience, same as more Pikers. Hope to see your posts, when something affects you, i'll reply to them. Enjoy summer Carping on Halfmoon etc, might join you for daytime session. Any probs there i'll open my Gob as well, with no bias whatsoever.
Nowt matters if it don't affect anyone personally (Horses at Knotsford, other threads related to Knotsford, MMK pleasure fishing etc etc), mind its nice to see no problems for all Leeds Anglers.
Cheers Bob

Cheers Bob I'm not saying there are not access issues but messaging ged would soon have this sorted out. If u can't message ged put your issues to the club then they will contact one if the bailiffs to look into it. There are access issues but these are not done out if spite. New locks need to be ordered picked up and then welded onto the gate. I was not being an arse but I know ged has a lot of water and banks to manage up there in amongst earning a living and general family life. 15 years ago you'd have a car behind u with people 'making love ' then just around the corner someone taking drugs and burning the car out. People can't sort it if they don't know about it. I've been in this forum twice in as many months I'm sure geds the same

Hi, as said, this year wasn't first time, for me its been 3 yrs, a mate at least 5 yrs to my knowledge. So its not a unknown issue, been raised on this forum at least one more time, as far as i know. You don't have to tell anyone a different locks on gate, they know. Mind i did tell one of Baliffs once, i also quoted what a few other anglers had said also. A few were livid, two said they would sort it for the Halfmoon gate in the Summer, OK they seemed decent to me & it will have been hot air. Lock was back on few days later. All members by the way. There should be no need for this. This years prob broke record, guess, but prob be lucky if proper BW locks been on 1 month of the 6 mths dead baiting normally gets done. I was that ball ed off i fished elsewhere, ain't hurt me doing so (could have walked down, OK like alot i'm not in my youth). Yes theres older members, ones with physical probs etc, they will just leave CH alone, as a lot do. Like alot they don't say anything. It certainly wont deter the non paying type. Shame for members who do even a bit of Pikeing. Ok Halfmoon gate might get knacked this summer (its just as good a chance), bet its not knacked all the summer, hope not & gets fixed fast. Nobody will drive to go fishing, if chances are high, access is knacked. Iv'e no probs with Ged & Daz, no probs when iv'e talked to them either. But like i said, ball s to it Lifes to short, even more so if not in your youth. Cheers Bob ps O regards hearing Bull Muck, iv'e got the T shirt & Mug.

The BW lock is on the gates at the wintersett complex and has been for over a month unless they have gone again in the last couple of weeks.
