sat, my first match , ely 17 few bream and big roach 16kilo, des southern on 16 had abigger 16kilo all perch, andy hampson on 15 wins section with 17kilo and clarkie on flyer 14 is a mere mortal with 15 kilo. sun caroline boswell mem open, i draw clarkies peg from day before 10 kilo and lose sectin by 100gr but didnt deserve it i fished crap! rapes is on trory 5kilo section win, clark drawn on lockys bay end peg gets a roach after 10mins a hybrid after 20mins then 22 bream in as many chucks, 36kilo later him and rapes are 700 quid and a lump of waterford better off. Of all the opens in ireland ashurst, nudd, and co, would have picked this one to win, but clarkie stuck it up them all! more to come if you want it frim

Excellent Performances by the sounds of things.
I heard Ireland was going down hill big time, especially around Enniskillen.
Reading this brings back some more happy memories when I was a spotty youth!
Can't wait for the next installment from Frim!
Hey Skimmer, do you remember chucking me in the Erne behind the Chalets at Killyhevlin? I DO!!

ay up youth, we all thought the erne was going down, thats why i bailed out and have fished the portumna festivals for the past 4yrs, but iwas talked into giving it one last chance, and i'me glad i did, i'll give you my opinion why things went tit's up,and why things are now looking better. 1, Fermanagh council spending £4000 each on platforms, spacing them about 12yds apart, thinking we prefer to be comfy catching nothing than wet through and bagging up. 2. Weed cutting so anglers dont lose gear, they always do it late april early may.Spawning fish and been brain dead come to mind! 3. Zebra mussels have made the river gin clear so together with a man made lack of weed cover, the days of tons of fish coming to enniskillen to spawn are long gone, there's no reason for them to leave the upper and lower loch. After a whinge like that, there are loads of positives, i'm sure the loch's are still solid with roach, bream and hybrids and it has only taken Kevin Lock and a few other ex pats a few weeks to prove it, Kevs opend up new sections on the deeper parts of the lower loch, he's pegged them properly, and the results have been far better than sitting on cornagrade for an eel and a one eyed perch ! anyway next year pack your lass and baby youth off to benidorm and come with us!!!! sore fingers frim.
