Skimmer, it's birkwood where I've had a fantastic run. It's 10 minutes from my house, I've fished it 14 times in all since baby was born in late September and won money on all 14 outings. I won the league with 7 out of 8 section wins and was pleased as punch.
I put £5 in baby youth's money box everytime I win something and so she's a rich little chick already!!
Interesting reading Frim, get your Kay to teach you how to touch type!! I'd love to return to Ireland with you lot, if nothing more than for old times sake. Money and family ties prevent me unfortunately and quite rightly.
However, a few of us from the Morley club have been to Ireland 3 or 4 times around the Killesandra (spelling?) area in County Cavan and fished various spots and caught plenty of fish pleasure fishing. Tench, Hybrids, Bream, Roach, Perch (put all your fish back and do a lap of the loch) and eels (put all your fish back and jump in with just your underpants on) all were welcomed in our nets, but with only one 100lb bag between us all all week we figured we would enjoy the Trent or commercials more and so we haven't been back.
Truth is, I'd love to go again but it won't happen for a few years yet. Great to read about all the success you guys are all having again though. Keep it up and keep us informed.

Week two, Rosscairn end peg 15 bloody flier, but never on first day, it's not been fished since last year, blank all day then 4 kilo in last hour. Clarkie draws manor 9 on the grass right of stands, 11kilo of perch on feeder, section win. Day 2 Gingers bay 9, new section on lower loch win my side bet of £1 Chris Diamond on peg 10 and thingyy Carr on 8 with 20kilo 9 bream and some dog roach. Total winnings £2, Clarkie and rapes draw Ross Loch, Clark gets 19kilo Rapes wins section with 21kilo, Eddy Brydon wins match with 35kilo and the average weight on Ross was 18kilo. most of the bigger bream were caught on corn, but say nowt it's a secret! Day 3 Manor 9. A best forgotten 8kilo. Clarks on next to end peg Rosscairn 14. 25kilo of proper bream and hybrids, section win by default, end peg15 frames with 29kilo Day 4 Ely 15 few bream late on 10 kilo section by default and another £1 from thingyy Carr. Clarks on gingers 10 end peg he fancies it but bombs out with 5kilo Day 5 Airport 3. a hybrid after 5 seconds then odd fish all day. 18kilo. Clarkies drawn Manor 9 for the second time in a fortnight it's not a big weight section but after a bream first chuck and a few early hybrids he gets his head down fishes for perch, 16kilo later, he's won his second festival £2000 and another lump of crystal. . I ended up 11th they paid 10, one bad perfomance on Ely cost me a few hundred quid, but what the hell roll on september and well done Clarkie! FRIM. i
