hi guys, i have been watching with some interest the debate over commercials, i have been president now for 18 months the first meaningful thing i managed to get going was this website, that has allowed lots of people to air their views who normally would not have had a chance to do so, we do take note of them and i bring these mater's up in our meetings.
i was elected on a promise to the members , a to provide better angling to our members, b, to provide better access for all our members, c, to balance the books, we made a £13,000 loss last year and that cannot be sustained. so i will tell you a bit more of what has happened.
at this moment we are in the process of providing 2 disabled fisheries, 5 points of access to cater for disabled anglers on our river fisheries, i new point of access on the ouse, 2 sets of disabled pegs on our ponds. allso hopefully in the near future 4 new fisheries, these will be announced at the delegates meetings when they are all signed up, then posted on the website.
all so in a move to make more use of our assets 1 of our existing ponds will receive a large stocking of catchable size carp.
a set of new toilets are to be installed at our catterick complex , plus a extra set for the summer months.
work will continue on all our venues and thanks to tom new signs [40] will be erected on all our fisheries that need them. as you can see this will involve a lot of work so all volunteers are welcome, i have not been idle in my first 18 months but all this takes time so bear with us, lets stick together all forms of angling will be helped but it takes time to turn it around, keep your comments coming in .
