Andy Just checked out the on-line poll. I realise it is limited to those anglers who bother with the website and cast a vote but the current numbers show a near 40% to both Speciaiist and Pleasure anglers with just under 20% Match. Given that Specialist anglers are such a large proportion will the Club listen to their request for a more relaxed attitude to fishing after sunset. A couple of hours after sunset and a 10pm close after October would help enormously to those who arrange things so as to be able to fish after work mid-week (when the rivers are quieter) in pursuit of their fish. With the large uptake in barbel (and Chub) fishing those extra hours at the quieter times of the week make a big difference and I am sure would attract more anglers into the Club.

hi doc, the way to do this is to put a notice of motion in befor the end of september saying which rule on which page you would like to change, you need a proposer and seconder ,it then goes to the a ,g,m. when all mebers can attend, the isue is then debaited and a vote of all members present is taken,in case of a tie the chairman has the casting vote. if you would like to talk this over come down to the club one night to see me and i will talk it over with you.[mondays best for me].stan..

Stan I live east of York and may find getting across to the club for anything but the AGM a bit difficult.
What I have in mind is Page 3 of Leeds ASA book under Warning Wording to be changed from
No Night Fishing During Published Local Lighting Up Times Except Wintersett and Howe Lake Catterick And Knotsford Nook.
to
No Night Fishing Beyond 2 hours after Published Local Sunset ,changing to 10pm from 1st October onwards, or before Published Local Sunrise, with the exception of Night Permit Waters (Wintersett, Howe Lake Catterick And Knotsford Nook).
A similar change to be made to the wording on page 54. Any comments on the wording?

hi guys,we have talked about this befor, you may get some night fishing,or extended hours fishing on the waters we own but you have no chance on a across the board prop ,because the people we rent the water off do not want anglers on the bank after dark,if one said no then the prop would fail,be more specific, name our own waters, plus the night fishing pass at £40,to cover all the river night fishing.stan..

Can you help us out there then Stan? Which waters do the club own? Which are leased?
May I ask why there is a need for a £40 surcharge on the extended hours the Doc is asking for? If indeed the only waters available after local lighting up times are owned outright by the club, can you tell me how this costs the club any extra money? I'm pretty sure match anglers aren't charged an extra 40 quid on top of their subscription to fish waters at times when I'm unable to access them.

Stan Am I right in thinking that the list of Leeds ASA owned river stretches are:
River Aire : Stockbridge River Derwent: Kexby - Upstream River Derwent: Kexby - Downstream River Derwent: Sutton-on-Derwent (if York DAA in agreement) River Nidd : Ramsgill River Nidd : Mammerton River Swale : Catterick River Swale : Skipton-on-Swale River Swale : Topcliffe River Swale : Myton River Ure : Lower Dunsforth River Ure : Aldwark Bridge River Wharfe : Linton (Left Bank)
