I heard a rumour that the venue could be changed for the final soon.
Ideally, it needs to be on a solid venue where the peg doesn't matter. However, we all know they're few and far between.
It is very peggy come the final, pegs 6 to 11 have no chance of winning have they.
Where would you have the final frim?

The fisho final venue has been changed to cudmore so now instead of 1 end peg having a chance of winning the match we are going to have 4. I know its great 4 tv but are any of the sixteen finalists intrested in how many people are watching , i think not all they are there for is the chance to win 25,000 . So in changeing the venue all we have now is a 4to1 chance of winning instead of a sixteen to1 chance.I think its about time somebody had a propper look at the situation and took the sixteen lads into account who have travelled many miles put a lot of time and effort in to have more than a fair chance of winning what for some would be the biggest match of their lives.

why not have more qualifiers then have 30 to 35 finalists, then they would not be sat on half lakes like at hayfield and now cudmore where there is loads of room for the fish to back off to making it peggy, imagine if it were at woodlands thirsk on any of the oblong match lakes with anglers in every other peg both sides of the lake i think that would be a competitive final, only prob with woodlands is no room for spectators, but theres plenty more places, come on the nfa sort it out.

Woodlands still has the problem of potentially being peggy, along the boards at the end with a decent wind then others may not stand a chance.
Most places become peggy once there is pressure on them, the thing is with Woodlands, is both the spectator space AND its location. It has to be somewhere a little more local for everyone not just us northerners :-)

not so sure about the boards been best been sat on them ponds loads winner can come from anywhere, but lets not loose it to a southern venue petrols gettin dear, makes me laugh when they have a.t.team champs on nene why not aire and calder were theres some fish, only prob there is you cant have a tackle fest on the topath, what about lindolme? in a few weeks im off on the wychavon qualls at hampton ferry same there fishin poor but loads of room for spectators and tackle fest's cant win.

i agree with the location having to be more central as too much fishing does end up being down south, Lindholme would be a good call, I don't see any reason why it couldn't be held up north at all, as for the aire and calder, some great sport to be had along the aire, that is for sure!!!!
