Howe Specimen Lake has continued to fish very well throughout the winter with carp to 19lb 12oz. Jamie Green had 14-carp in three days from 12lb to 19lb.
Copley Lake produced a perfect conditioned 21lb 3oz mirror with most anglers landing two or three carp at a sitting. Best results employing a small PVA bag of micro pellet with hair-rigged cut down Trigger boili tipped with sweet corn slightly poped up. The zig-rig has accounted for some better fish possibly because it has been so mild.

I had a blinding session on howe lake this past sunday: i really think i have found a good bait as i landed two and missed two, i think i was the only one to catch on the lake all day the first one weighed in at 12lbs dead on, and the pics came out really well, i think, considering they were self takes... The next one was a 15lb mirror, was caught at 20 to 10 this morning, (unfortunately the pics didnt come out quite as well for this fish... all in all my best winter session to date, im buzzin! by the way, gus, did you happen to get my email?

Got your email Mat forwarded pics to Carp Talk. Keeping the feed to a just a few loose offerings worked for you but some of the others just wont listen. Tommo in reply to your question one of the regulars on Howe Lake counted over 70 carp all together in two pegs and not one under 10lb.
