Yes, a double at last after knocking on the door for 3 years. This beauty came from the Wharfe and weighed 10lb 3oz. I would have put money on it coming from the Swale. Conditions were just as I like them, 18 inches up (from tide marks it had been a further 2 ft up) with tinge of colour. I've read and tried all different types of methods, tackle, flavours etc, this came to a running straight lead, 12lb line direct to a 12 hook and a hair rigged halibut pellet. After a number of sessions this season, I am totally convinced that conditions play 90% with tackle & bait 10%. Sometimes I catch, sometimes I don't, using exactly the same tactics. But even then sometimes conditions look perfect and I blank, going home scratching my head. But hey it would not be the same if you could predict and/or catch every time you go. Attachments:

Probably just as well seeing as the full size picture is 2592 x 1944 pixels which would mess up the forum posts formatting somehwat.

Not a very helpful response. I was kind of hoping for someone to point me in the right direction. If the pixel size is too large, let me know what's acceptable.

Well I don't run the forum or am familiar with the software used so I can only guess but if it's too big to fit within the normal space available I expect it's automatically reduced in size. I would imagine 640 x 480 or thereabouts would be acceptable. You'd have to try it at a smaller size and find out. You can use the preview button to see what the final post would look like before finally sending it.

MR G, go to resize image it will give message board or forum size options, preview before posting. Mega pixels mean next to nothing unless blowing up to poster size proportions regards frim

Fished the Swale last 3 days of the season for quite a few chub including a 5.12 PB. Tried putting up a pic but failed sadly.
Tight lines for the 16th ...
