hi guys, frim asked the question to see what you thought about night fishing,so lets get things in order first, nothing can happen until there are rule changes at the a,g,m,then all those present get to vote on all the issues that are up for changing, believe me there are lots of our members who are not interested in night fishing so any change is far from guaranteed,in fact if you do not get together on this it will be defeated. we will have to nominate the venues the members think would be suitable for night fishing, plus the cost,i cannot see any of our owners wanting to allow night fishing though i will ask as i meet some of them over the next few weeks to pay for our fishing.[and extended hours]
so lets look at the waters we own, first of all catterick, lets make copley into a night fishery that would give us 2 lakes there to night fish, lets think about kippax polo pond, its only a small pond so it would have to be a limited number of permits, and 2/3 of it is a match fishery so weekends would be on fewer pegs when a match is booked.
now lets look at our river venues, catterick could be used although its not one of our better barbel venues, skipton on swale and topcliffe l/bank ,dunsforth ferry field and aldwarke on the ouse, linton on wharfe could all be on one pass i/e the rivers.we could make a overall pass for all our venues at double the price £80,and £40 for the individual ones,ie,wintersett, knotford and the rivers, there are also the legal implications of night fishing on the rivers, but we would have to look into that if we were to go ahead with any plans. so its all not so easy as you can see,it would also have to be policed by our night members who would have to agree to do this to have any chance of this happening.
we would have to have each rule for change proposed and seconded and those people will have to speak for the proposals at the a,g,m,.
now thats give all interested party's something to talk about, what do you think.stan..
