keep you updated on the fly fishery at k.p, another stocking of rainbows introduced today between 2 and 5lb, the lake is now back to its stock capacity, apart from a few weeks in the warmer weather when the fish shoaled up over the cooler water from the springs its fished really well and trout to over 11lb have been recorded, drys are still catching but most are now caught on suspended buzzers, the first frosts should see some great returns. We have had anglers from all over the north of England and everyone has complemented the fishery, some go as far as saying its the best in Yorkshire. Ticket sales have been better than we could of imagined and is working at a profit. A few pics for anyone interested Two tanks of about 120kg fish per tank Open up and let em go All the trout farms use a chute or sluice method of introducing fish to the lake and say it's better than nets. "we never lost a fish"

Stan lowest return today 3 fish, best 29 one or two caught early on nyphs then stripping big silver or gold lures back really fast, we've just noticed alot of sticklebacks and fish crashing into the weed so its anything that looks like a sticky.

Spending alot of time at kp we are getting to know quite a few regulars, like coarse fishing there are some that are just class and its a matter of listening and learning, geordie paul stands out and seems to catch on any thing he does, but his long distance lure fishing is taking it apart at the moment, paul fishes a wf 9 and can throw the full line off the reel in a wind. He has fished loads of troutmaster finals and has offerd to give lessons to any first timers. It might not be purist but its exiting BIG CHUCK BOW WAVING AS IT HITS THE WATER SMASHES INTO LURE RIPS ROD OUT OF HAND GOT THE BUGGER I managed a dozen myself today and the regulars predict it will get better as it gets colder. frim

Nice to see a picture of Malcolm Kitchen. He put a tying of his ballerina in the trout fishing magazine once and I copied it. The number of fish I've had on this pattern runs into the hundreds. Cheers Malcolm! geoff
