sean, 1 Open matches are what the name says open to anyone and can be fished by non members so no need for book checks!! the entry fee covers ticket costs and is the same for everyone. 2 Society matches are members only, Jim Jordan and Ian Bates run most of them and both are very thorough, random book checks are made but to be honest not often!! most of the lads that fish are known to Jim and Ian and if a strange face turns up they would be asked to produce. 3 Club matches are a different ball game, on venues that are day ticket water clubs can take visitors that are non members but must charge them a day ticket, obviously on members only water every one should have a book. An amount of trust is given to club secretaries to make sure this happens. frim
