Have recently moved to Yorkshire from the South - and following a bit of research have joined Leeds DASA (well cheque has been sent with form). HAven't fished very much for the last couple of years and am gagging to get me maggot wet. I wonder where to start? ? Happy to sit on a river bank and nick out the odds and ends with float/feeder/light leger..... would however like to bag the odd barbel. From what I read barbelling seems to have moved on apace in the last couple of years......but I would prefer to fish the way I am used to ...........any suggestions as to a venue??? Thanks Les

Where abouts in Yorkshire?
Check out the rivers and lakes sections on the main site, that should give you plenty of options to look at.
Why not take a drive out up to the complex at Catterick? You have plenty to choose from and if you choose not to fish the lakes up there, just fish the river Swale next to the lakes instead :-)
Regards, Carl.

Carl, Thanks for info- I will have a check out all the stuff on the site and Catterick sounds good. Am over near Selby... travel is not a problem- when I lived in London I used to fish up in Shropshire on the Severn and the Teme .
