Where there is water you will find rats, thats nature! had em fighting over hobnobs on the point last year. There must of been half a dozen cleaning spod mix up and chewing holes my landing net after using it for air drying boilies! I think the mink have a liking for the Headland island, hence the look out style swans nest in the rushes!

Not seen any mink for the last two years on there. Never mind the mink, I saw an adder snake yesterday. I've had chance to google it and now I'm sure it was what I thought it was! This thing is couple of miles away from it's normal habitat but that won't make it any less dangerous. Be very careful, these creatures have very nasty bites if stumbled apon or if not handled in the right way. Not that I would advise anyone to try pick it up or poke it with a stick, if it should turn up in a peg!

Its them big black panthers you want to watch behind blues swim Really, I've never caught one of them before, I doubt I would have the nuts to try bundle one of them into a pillow case with a long bank stick though! I think a 303 from the point would have to be the plan of action for that one. let me know if you see it again. (It would look quite good on that shelf behind the bar LOL)...
