leeds angling centre won what has been the tightest ever york winter league last week, on an in form river ouse below york. They were 2nd on the day, just 1 section point seperating them from winners anglers world, this meant the two teams tied at the top of the league with 9 points each. It went to a count back on match wins, again 3 wins each, next we went to total section points over the whole league, Leeds angling centre 262 points. anglers world 262 points-incredible. Finally it was decided on total section wins, Leeds won 13 -6. On the day the bream had a real munch Mick"bream slayer"Doyle won with 13 for 60lb,followed by 34lb,23lb 19 lb and 18lb.8lb was the lowest section winning weight.I wish they would eat like that every week.Congratulations also to Colin Hardy who came with a terrific late run to clinch the individual title from Stan Haigh thanks also to Richard Thorne at Leeds Angling Centre for supporting the lads in the team
