im afraid its not rubbish mate ive fished the place for atleast 10 years and the last 9 months is the worst ive ever know it. I know its a hard water and i agree the weather has been unusual and other factors going on but for me like i said mate it really hasnt been good

I wouldn't say it been fishing badly for 9 months. I was still having action on overnighters in October. It fished badly through the winter but it always does. Fish have been coming out for the last few months but no where near as many as in recent years. I would suggest most of it is down to the weather being up and down, it got to -6 on Saturday night. Once we've got some steady weather the catches will improve

Like i say mate for me and the lads i fish with there has been no significant results for carp in 9 months plus so defo not as good as previous years. But pike seem to be coming out for us more than usual and i know theres a couple good ens in there so might just stick to that if i go again

What do you class as significant? 10 twentys a season? I agree that it hasn't fished as well this year as it has done on previous years but if you've been fishing it for 10 years you know it can produce some good fish, just keep at it.

listen mate i am only giving feedback of our experience in the last 9 months or so. Between the group of us we have had very little success with carp nothing in doubles and only a hand full of catches and bites. The lad i spoke to with the photo of the pike was back in about september time and he said it was out a couple of weeks earlyer to that no idea who actually cault it but the photo was defo at knotsford and the weight looked right to me

No need to get defensive mate, I only asked what you class as a good season. Everyones goals are different. What I am trying to say, is keep at it, there is some good fiah in there to be has if you put the time in. It's not the easiest water, which is good, and get sometimes mess with your head, as you often think think conditions are bang on and you see fish but then blank...all part of fishing I suppose.
About that pike, I know it has done some high twentys but wasn't aware of anything bigger
