hi guys, john cyroski won the ouse champs with a BIG wt,113lbs,28 bream 1 2lbs ide and a few roach n skimmers, this is a new record for the match, well done john,2nd and 3rd were the next 2 pegs upstream,4th was the next peg down, all had 20lbs,i think there would have been some more wts had the pegs between 1st and 4th been in ,as it was terry morgan who was 4th was 250 to 300 yds downstream of shog, and the same above the next peg downstream ,in the crap BITS EVERY PEG WAS IN ,its a shame that York do not do fish the water more there are loads of fish there ,or better still take the time to permanent peg it like we do,then all the pegs would be ok with a little maintenance, every now and then.stan..

Stan The stretches fished in the Ouse championship are in the main not heavily match fished - York does downstream of York for most of its Ouse matches. The Poppleton stretches were cut for matches prior to the Ouse Open. The non-match fisherman makes pegs on these upstream of York stretches where required. We do not find the pegs a problem and appreciate the fact that York DAA keeps these stretches, in the main, for the non-match angler. York DAA have their balance of match and non-match facilities right and have rules that benefit the specimen angler too.
