RIVER URE - MIDDLEHAM
There are a reasonable amount of Salmon showing around this area. The club are considering issuing Salmon Licences on the River Ure at Middleham. Stan is in discussion with various contacts as regards establishing a day ticket price and a way forward
KNOTSFORD LAGOON
Costs and feasibilty of putting a footpath around Knotford are being evaluated.
New lock fitted to gate
TOPCLIFFE AND WATERS IN GENERAL
There is concern about the growing amount of rubbish being left at Topcliffe and other venues. Reminder issued to all members – please take your litter home and as hard as it is to accept – if it is there when you arrive please take it home with you. Failure to clean up after a fishing session could lead to loss of waters.
SANDWATH
New fence is in the process of being erected down the left hand side at Sandwath.
Reports and evidence of poaching have been received. Should any member witness this then please contact the EA or notify the club immediately.
NOTE : DO NOT ATTEMPT TO REMOVE ANY FORMS OF ILLEGAL FISHING EG. NIGHT LINES ETC.
In the unfortunate case that you are caught with these in your possession it will be assumed you are the owner !!
It is hoped to stock Sandwath with a variety of fish. The source fish have been identified, caught and samples are currently undergoing health checks.
KIPPAX POLO
The netting of Polo which was recently cancelled due to ice is re-scheduled to take place in April
HAMMERTON NIDD WORKING PARTY (27TH APRIL OR 4TH MAY – TO BE CONFIRMED IN NEXT DAY OR SO )
A bank clearance working party has been set up to try and give access to more pegs at the bottom end of the Hammerton Mill length where it meets with the Railway Field (Skip Bridge entrance) An excellent response has been received through the Forum so far however more volunteers would still be appreciated. Please add your name to the thread on the forum.
KIPPAX PONDS
There are still no fish in Skylark – so don’t bother fishing it !! Plans are currently in place to buy a variety of silvers to stock the pond with (the same ones that are going into Sandwath once satisfactory health check complete ) Skylark is to be a Silvers water
