Rushy managed to dodge another meeting tonight,so I've been in his stead once again, don't mind helping out mate. Set off early due to road works and diversions only to find workmen having night off and roads open(watching football I expect), so time for a pint before meeting starts( I'LL put it in my expenses claim Dave lol). Right down to business then:
Well not a great deal to report really but here goes.
LINTON Seems almost beyond doubt the viewing platform? Call it what you like, is legitimate and probably staying. Only chance of any changes lies in the archaic files that club officials are wading through.
EASd**e As before, the bank work is still under ea investigation.
HUNTERS LODGE A work party has built a new footbridge over beck and some bank clearing has taken place.
MIDDLEHAM After help providing grayling samples the club have been received a stocking of 4,000 grayling. I think some also went into the wharfe at Boston spa. There are plans to stock 10,000 more
As I said not a great deal to report, except the workmen didn't have the night off after all, they had closed the main route through Leeds again, so back into the mad one way system to get home. Anyway I know my way round Leeds much better!
Better start getting ready for smeatons trip now, Eddie.

Not sure if something about signs was mentioned, if I go to next meeting will ask and bring up the point. I fished Linton at the start of last season and found the fishing very hard. Not how I remember the place, but I Walked the whole length and at least found a Leeds limit sign at the end. But can't remember any signs at start. So will bring subject up for you mate.

There used to be a leeds sign in the hedge just before going down to the bottom limit peg. Anyone who lives there knows it's Leeds water but missing signs may be down to them not being happy to accept the fact. I think the best thing we can do to start with is make sure lots of us go down there and fish it - with gusto!

When I said we could work it round him he said he didn't feel well and had to go have another pint ................... didn't see him again after that
