RIVER NIDD PROJECT
Meeting arranged for 26th September with contractor to progress with installation of new gate at Skip Bridge. Second phase to follow installation.
NEW WATERS
The 3 new lengths of the Ure at Middleham are now available to fish.
LICENCE CHECKS
Watchers have been checking Yearbooks and the EA have also visted Kippax Ponds to check for rod licences
CLUB ANNUAL ANGLING PRESENTATION NIGHT 30 OCTOBER 2014
This years annual presentation night is a Charity event in aid of Macmillan Nurses and Combat Stress.
The event is to be held at the Anglers Club - doors open 7pm. Entry fee £1 which is to be donated to the charities.
Guest presenters Tommy Pickering and Dave Thomas followed by fantastic act - Propaganda.
Should be a great night out on both an Angling and social front with entertainment and a few beers
All welcome - the more the merrier
Should anyone wish to donate to these charities facilities will be available on the night or alternatively please send a cheque to, and payable to, Leeds Anglers Club. This will be added to the evenings takings and split equally between the charities.
All donations greatly appreciated.
FINANCE
Graham Park and John Matthewman have spent the past several weeks trying to prepare the annual accounts since the sudden resignation of the Treasurer. They have managed to reconcile the accounts and have forwarded them to the Accountants for approval. A vote of thanks was given to both for all their effort and hard work.
John is also retiring from his position as Membership Secretary after many many years of service to the Club. A vote of thanks was recorded for his fantastic effort and dedication over the years.
Should anyone be interested in this position - please make yourself known !!!

Attached - 477 Unattached 1159 Total 1636 which is 73 down on last year
NOMINATIONS FOR LIFE MEMBERSHIP
Two nominations for life membership were proposed. Procedural formalities to be followed onto next stage.
TOPCLIFFE HYDRO
As requested at the last Delegates meeting , the President has been in touch with the solicitor with respect to the possibility of us withdrawing from this contract.
The solicitor has advised that it is a 40 year lease and there is no exit clause for the club.
Confirmation of the solicitors response has been requested in writing and is awaited.
LINTON ON OUSE
£300 worth of screed has been put down on access road to river.
