I know the last thing this forum needs Is another thread on Knotfford. However amongst all of yesterday's petty squabbling and threats of violence; some seemingly quite serious allegations were made around the running of the club. These allegations were made by a club bailiff and committee member. On the "more grass in a 20 bag" thread, jimmy made the following comment regarding the issue with horses at Knotford:
"It's the £££££££s that are gained back pocket click click clap clap "
My understanding of this statement is that jimmy is suggesting that club officials are taking money from these deals and are not declaring it through the official channels (back pocket). However I don't want to put words in his mouth and think it is right for him to qualify what he meant by this.
Recently Graham, Rushy and Eddie have patiently (and I dare say politely) been explaining that whilst Knotford may be the centre of the universe for some of our forum members; it is perhaps not a view shared by some of the more senior members of the club. Therefore the burning priorities by those on the ground at Knotford are not necessarily those making the decisions at the top. Now this may be an uncomfortable truth for many, but it's perhaps easier to take on the chin that our little storm in a teacup is part of a bigger Leeds picture. This is much more palatable than a suggestion that these decisions are being made because of corruption at the club.
As a committee member and club bailiff I think it is probably fair to assume that Jimmy has a greater insight into the workings of the club and is privy to information the rest of us are not. Jimmy can you clarify what you meant by this statement and whether you stand by it (and on what evidence) or whether you retract it?
Serious allegations of wrongdoing made by a member in a position of trust are clearly unacceptable and should be fully investigated as they drag the name of the club through the mud.
