hi paulwpo, in time all our waters will be stocked with fish we grow on our selfs, but we do not know how many are left from the origonal stocking of 3,000 2inch fish, the stockies need feeding once a day so constant pressance is needed thats why we used catterick to start with.but other waters could be used for this with the help from our members.stan..

Hi, I'm Chris, secretary of the General Purpose committee at Leeds and District. Among other things it is my responsibility to organise the working parties we go on, and to organise the netting parties along with Dave Bonsels, secretary of the fisheries management committee. Anybody willing/able to help with any of these please contact me. I will give as much notice as possible when they are both happening. All help will be much appreciated. Cheers Chris

Stan did not believe me when I said the carp in the stock pond were over a pound so he went to find out. Although I feed them every day I also put a sign up on the lake asking all visiting anglers to put their unwanted bait in. Those fish would now cost in the region of £4 each possibly more so the orginal 2-inch fish @ £250 per 1000 was a good investment even if only a thousand have survived but as Stan says we wont know until we net them.
Regards Gus
