Well , due to the fact that the representatives from the two main sub committees (General Purpose and Fisheries Management ) were not at the meeting and the minutes of their last meetings were not available , it was a very quiet and quick Delegates. The one topical subject that was discussed was Knotford and the situation is as follows : Highwood AC , comprising some 50 members , many who are Knotford regulars , have offered to adopt the water and this was accepted unanimously. . By adopt, it means look after it and nothing else. They are to undertake all the necessary work, making pegs, repairing the car park , preparing a suitable path around the lake etc. All this work will be voluntary and for the benefit of all members As regards the horses ....................... The club Pesident (Stan Jeffreys) and the Secretary of Highwood (Steve Fearnley - old guy with grey hair ..... used to be able to fish a bit in his day ) visited Knotford last week and came to an agreement with Andy that the horses would not be allowed inside the otter fence. This was all done with a firm handshake and lots of spitting on palms and punching of shoulders .......... what more could you ask for So it looks like all our efforts on here have paid dividends ........... well done to all and look forward to giving it a go myself come spring ........... can you use trebles for Carp

To say I am bemused by this would be an understatement, I arranged exactly the same agreement with Andy 3 months ago and have been slaughtered on this site but because stan has been it must be right, I will continue to be the workhorse ( see what I did there ) of the society and stop trying to help some members.

Graham , I'm sure everyone knows that without the continued tenacity of yourself and others over the past few months, we wouldn't have even been able to get Stan upto Knotford Every club needs a workhorse and hopefully you won't be retiring to Scarborough beach for a while . . . . More straw this way please

Bit of an update from last night Fisheries Management Committee
200 Chub and 200 Barbel were put in at Aldwark Bridge the other week and 200 Tench were put into Sandwath. These fish were with the compliments of the EA as a "thank you" for our work assisting them with Grayling catches at Middleham and our general co-operation and good working relationship with them.
