Anyone seen the locally caught "40" from a local trout water in the angling times. Looks like a very big fish unweighed unfortunately.

No I don't think so but I don't know the name of the water. Although I do know its location. The angler who caught it doesn't come from rotherham as at suggests he actually is from Rothwell. Hope that helps. Mick.

Private trout syndicate in Rotherham - must be Thryburgh. I also know it has done a 40lber 2 years ago.

Methly flyfishers, next pit to erics willows, been out twice this year was caught in jan at 39lb and the second time it wasnt weighed but will have been spawn bound so probs put on a couple of pounds ive had pike to scraper 20 out on the fly £200 a year to fish it. Boats with electric outboards on there too.
