It has been noted that Salmon have been seen jumping at Crown point weir in Leeds. The Environment Agency have asked for our assistance by way of the following : If you catch a salmon or sea trout in the River AIRE please let Neil Trudgill know where and when you caught it, along with its length and weight. Close-up photos, especially of the head, tail and fins will help him confirm the species. Three or four scales, taken from the area shown, will also tell us a lot about the fish. Please use tweezers to remove the scales if possible. Your information will help us track how fish passes are helping these fish return to our rivers. Information to be sent to neil.trudgill@environment-agency .gov.uk Take scale samples from area shown below

You'll also have to pay £1000 for a membership book cos . . . . Post moderated by Rushy cos it's all getting rather repetitive , boring and tedious . Geoff , we know you've got a problem with the club officials , policies et al but please don't hijack EVERY thread with your thoughts Cheers Rushy

More likely that people have seen brownies trying to navigate the weir, although the Aire does get a salmon run it tends to be an autumn run rather than fresh springers, at least that's what I've found out when I've researched aire salmon in the past
