Not fished most of the railway field before so thought I'd give it a go but first job was to find the bottom entry. Spent a while touring Ulleskelf village then spotted an angler walking towards the river so took note of where he went and where he'd parked. As I walked onto the length 2 anglers were coming towards me and if it wasn't smiley (who I'd met previously at Skip Bridge with Rushy), he wanted to pick my brains unfortunately I knew less about this part of the river than he did . After a quick chat I walked as far as the railway bridge the plan being to work my way back down. Swim 1 produced a solitary Bleak so after a lunch break it was onto swim 2 a nice gully off of a sand bed. This produced plenty of Roach and Dace but mostly small with just the odd better Roach. Swim 3 did produce a couple of Perch to go with the Roach one of the Perch meriting a photo at 1lb 4oz as the best fish of the day, meanwhile my previous peg now appeared to be a gun dog training ground with gunshots, shouted orders and multiple spaniels in and out of the river. Swim 4 was much shallower and appeared to be full of 2oz Dace with the occasional Bleak so I soon tired of that and decided to call it a day after having a long chat with smiley who was down near the entry point. The only fish of note is picture below

Should have fished it last week Brian, there was a good tide and the river rose and ran off, can make a lot of difference when we have very low rivers!

Nice Stripey Brian , you won't get that peg next week , Mortia will be in it with his tub of worms Skelf is still on my list of things to do this season but think I'll wait until the match lads start catching the odd Barbel before I venture there. I assume Keith will be posting his photos soon of all the Pike he had out while you were Dace and bleak bashing

Like Br1an I had loads of small silvers and only one Roach I had to take the landing net to. Highlight of the day :- a rather large Perch trying to snaffle the silvers as I reeled them in Packed the float rod away as the tide started to rise and tried for a Bertie but like you yesterday I also failed miserably Hey ho, that's fishing. Keith.

Fished railway bottom myself yesterday river had about 18inch plus tide when I arrived about half 9. Dropped about 6inch in first couple of hours then started to rise again finished up looking like this Had a few knocks on meat and 1 decent bite which resulted in this little bonus
