Johnboy, he's frightened to death that I might see his boilies mate And as for the flood , Noah can keep it for me. Friday night blank , this morning blank but finally snaffled a couple to put me two more ahead of Deanos the Tortoise

Had a few hours this evening and found the river carrying about 1ft of extra water, which I thought would be good, but also that horrible tea colour which is renowned to be bad! On a positive note some decent fish were rolling, chub maybe? Bait of choice, boilie (it's worked very well this season) and stinky spam (you know the one I mean lol) and lets see how it goes. 3/4 of an hour later and the meat rod starts bouncing away, chub? Yes 3 1/2lb ok I'll take that, at least it avoids the blank! A few more knocks and taps, but nothing develops into a proper bite. Finally one genuine rap round and after the usual spirited fight a 4 1/2lber graces the net! Don't know what others think, but I seem to do better when the rivers are at normal levels! Anyway here's tonights scamp! Eddie.

Great pics as ever.
Seems to back up a lot of what I read that when the colour has just dropped out it fishes great for a couple of days in most places. Wish I could have got out there today.

Beautiful Chub Eddie! Kind of share equal footing with the barbel for me, sure the fights not as hard or long, but a biggie is a handsome fish! :-)
